OUR MOON

Is it Real?
After much study from the world-wide Amateur astronomy community with thousands of hours spent every week with a vast array of telescopes and binoculars of every imaginable size, configuration and make, it has been recognised that many viewers have become suspicious.

Suspicious of what, you may ask. Good old Moon! It has become apparent that our faithful, ever present Moon may not be exactly as we think. Following a recent report (classified until now) by Dr. Harold Errand of the Australian owned and operated South Pole Telescope based at the Ross Ice Shelf in Antarctica says: "The 'Limb' of the Moon can be seen to be seperating in layers like a giant sheet of plywood" and "from this angle on the Earth the Moon seems to be a flat circular plate rather than a spherical object".

With the release of this report many amateurs believing that the Moon is merely a fake have flocked to Southern Regions of South America, Africa, Australia and New Zealand to observe this discovery.

William Sheaffer from the South African Lunar Conspiracy Society said that he could actually make out the seperating layers. Also Dianne Rowlands, Secretary of the 'Southern Moon Observers' also noted that the disc can actually be seen to be non-spherical the further south one goes.

Hundreds of observers are booking flights from many cities around the world to get to the Ross Ice Shelf to witness this fake for themselves.

As we get new reports and photos we will publish them so you will be fully informed. This magazine will be sending it's own observing crew in the hope of imaging the peeling 'ply' like sheets of the giant disc.

Mathematicians from Zamgembi University in Africa have estimated the disc to be a diameter of approximately 130 kilometres, and their suspicion is that the Lunar surface is painted with a special paint to tolerate extreme cold, heat and Radio-active particles.

Such a vivid imagination from one so young!
As Paul said, way too much time on your hands, Ken. Still, one has to do something, doesn't one?
I'm trying to get my computer back to where I had it, (well, sort of), a couple of weeks ago after the damn thing decided to have a heart attack.
Also trying to learn how to use a couple of new programs.
MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL. L.

Paul and yourself have no need to worry about 'too much time on my hands'. The magazine cover only took about 5 minutes to do yesterday, and the Moon story about 7 minutes tonight.

No great creative thought used, just a spur of the moment thing LOL!

Orion renamed 'the Shopping Trolley' is from my 21 yo daughter. Thats what she calls it! She says it looks like one
