a nice vendor experience

Hi,

we are all quick to criticize and publicise a problem with a vendor, but we don't always tell others when a vendor treats us well. Hence, I'd like to tell everyone about a really good support experience I've recently had...

After 18 months of use my Moonlight CR1 focuser developed rough spots on the draw tube where the anodising appeared to have flaked off - see pic. I assumed it was out of warranty so emailed Moonlight's Ron Newman to ask the cost of a replacement draw tube. He replied within an hour saying that it should not have happened and may have been a manafacturing fault, and asked for a few details. I emailed him this pic. Within an hour he replied saying that it must have been faulty and he was going to send me a new draw tube - not only a new one but one with a compression ring and a new 2inch to 1 1/4 inch adapter for free (these were not available when I first bought) - and he was paying the cost of express airmail!!!

It hasn't arrived yet, but Ron emailed me the Tracking Number, and it has left the US....

This is fantastic, and contrasts hugely with some of the duck shoving I've experienced in Australia. We need to support vendors who treat us this well, and tell others about positive experiences...

cheers
Gary

I've been interested in their focusers recently - can someone tell me do they automatically come with a 1.25" adapter or is that seperate?
