Is there a Lagoon in my Trifid?

Ok, so I haven't had my dsi-c for long and I thought I'd stick to M20 Trifid for a while so I could get a feel for the cam and software and sort of know if I was improving or getting worse.

Anyways after looking at my latest effort I got suspicious as to why I couldn't get the colors right compared to other pics I've seen and I think perhaps I've been imaging M8 Lagoon instead.

What do you think, Trifid or Lagoon?

Have another look.
I've convinced myself it's Lagoon. Out of focus, over exposed even, but almost certainly Lagoon.
The second picture is the Lagoon Nebula I exported from my aging Starry Night Backyard. I can line up a lot of stars there with my picture that convince me I've been imaging the Lagoon Nebula.

I really need to work on my imaging ummm skills.

Hi Mark, it's a lagoon all right. I was imaging it last night so it's pretty well imprinted on my mind at the moment.

Cheers

The bow tie in the centre (and just about everything else in the picture) gives it away as the Lagoon. No mistaking it.

Baz.
