Thank you everyone for your very generous gesture.
I've never met, or not met in person as the case may be, people as caring and big hearted as you lot.
When Paul and Houghy presented me with the laptop, I was speechless. Something that doesn't happen very often to me. LOL.
You've made me feel very happy indeed.
So before I short circuit the keyboard, it's got me crying again, I just have to say one more time, Thank you.
Not sure what this relates to, but just confirms what I was thinking, that I've joined a real nice group of people.
1Ponders (Paul) organised a “secret” collection for Jeanette whilst she was recently in hospital. A bunch of IIS’ers managed to club together to purchase a new laptop as a get well gift, with a few accessories, before JJJ could log on again and spring the surprise.
Paul presented the gift to Jeanette at the Qld Astrofest, who was absolutely blown away with the kindness of her IIS mates and soon put the gear to good use. I spent the first evening listening to the strains of “Dark Side of the Moon” on the new PC, as it wafted over on the faintest of late night breezes – simply delicious.
I hope it brings as much pleasure to you jjj as you have brought to us reading your posts and viewing your images here on IIS and for being such a wonderful person that you are.

I do have to ask - did you post this from the new lappy?
The look on your face is enough thanks for all of us jjjnettie. I think some thanks should go to the people who organised this fine gesture. My 2C worth!
You weren't the only one with a tear in the eye Jeanette.....hey h0ughy
While I can't speak for h0ughy (though I often do ) it was a pleasure to do something to help lift your spirits, and what ever small thing I did it was more than matched by the generosity of the "Get Well Crew".
Jeanette glad you liked the surpriseIt was great to see you up and around, even though a little tired at times
I hope you get lots of use out of it
See you in a few weeks time Ron
A great effort Paul and Houghy
Enjoy it jjj...in my short time here as a member I have come to realize that this group is filled with lots of true blue 'mates', and you blokes have just proven it once again.
