Lappy Screens at Star Parties

Hi Guys.

Although I have been to other Star Parties, this will be the first time i will be using my Lap Top for imaging.

Could someone please suggest what would be the best to use as a light blocking screen, out in the field, so as not to upset other people.

Thank You.

Leon

I would use a red gel screen and a cardboard box shield.

HereyagoLeon.

The Great Man Dennis wrote an article awhile ago on just this subject. http://www.iceinspace.com.au/index.p...63,213,0,0,1,0

I use both the red gel or the neutral density depending on the situation and who else is around and what they are doing. Visual observerse I use the red, other imagers I use the neutral density. One my own.....filters???? what filters????

Leon, If you've had to buy umteen dozen big sheets, much more than you could ever use, let us know. I'd buy some red filter and neutral density filter from you. Thanks Eric

How much are you getting Leon? You should be able to get a sheet of Red gel 0.6mx0.5m for $8.80
