phases of Joop

Do Joop and Uranus have phases??? I thought that only planets inside our orbit had them - ie Venus and maybe Mars?? I sawome photos and suspect they are fakes

The outer planets don't go through a full range of phases like the inner planets, but they can have a slightly shadowed limb when a long way from opposition.

Unless you have been seeing pictures taken by space probes, such as Cassini or Galileo. One of my favourite pics of Jupiter is by Cassini as zoomed by on the way to Saturn, with Jupiter in half-phase and Io in front.
