One of my best for this season

Taken with the C14, skynyx, astronomiks filter and a jet stream raging overhead. Seeing was quite stable but fine detail was being destroyed by the Jet. Scope was not really well cooled as this was very early in the evening.

my first decent GRS for this season.

Thanks guys, funny how we were talking about this very thing on Thursday Bird. Must have done something to appease the weather gods.

Just a little reprocess of the one above. Less speckle and a bit more pleasing overall.

The one to the right is from much later and the seeing was very nice then, but the jet stream was getting more out of control.

Paul,

I reckon they are great.

I notice that the white band circling the GRS seems to have become like a straight wall. Interesting watching it change all the time

Paul, always great images form you

It seems as you used a diagonal so the image is mirrored, but it's just a detail

Regards, Anto

Thanks guys,

Ken, to be honest this year I have only really had nights where the seeing was good for the boring side of the planet. There is a bit of a running joke with Bird and Dave P about the need to image the boring side of the planet and it being my mission to do this. So I have not seen a lot of the GRS this year. Mind you there is still a month left to get some more data and maybe some more chances.

Anto, no not a diag, but you are close. My lumenera Skynyx when used with the lucam recorder flips the avi image when recording. It looks right in the preview panel but it is flipped both ways when I use the avi afterwards. It may be a setting in Lucam, but I will have to remember to turn the to the right orientation.
