The new 40D is to be released officially on Sat 25th 10mp, live view, 3" screen and larger view finder, auto sensor clean and a few other bits and pieces that l have forgotten. RRP AUS $1999 body only.

I was told today by a Sydney dealer that it will probably be late September by the time it hits the shops, and the initial delivery will be small, so there's a good chance they'll all be sold as pre-orders.

I'm thinking it's time to upgrade my 10D but I'll wait till I've seen a few reviews first.

I've heard it's the 400D sensor with some new microlenses(on the cmos). So it probably means it's not very good.
