Vixen Sphinx SXW mount for sale [SOLD]

I have a Vixen Sphinx SXW mount for sale. I am only selling it because I got a good offer for 125mm binoculars and I need some to raise some funds towards it.

Here is what you get:

- Vixen sphinx SWX mount with Starbook controller and all cables
- 1.9 kg counter-weight
- polar-alignment scope

Note: There is no tripod with the mount as I used it on Baader tripod which I am keeping.

The mount is in very good conditions. In fact it almost looks like new except for some signs of use at the dovetail clamp and on the counter-weight. The Starbook too has only very minor sign of use.

The actual retail price of the mount without the tripod is $3025 - $2,570 + $329 for the polar scope, so you end up with about $2900 - $3350.

I am asking $1800

Please PM me if interested.

Here some information about the mount:

The mount is compact designed and is with 6.5kg also very light and for its payload capability of 12kg (plus counter weights). The counter weight shaft telescopes into the mount for transport and is not even needed for lighter telescopes. There are also only 2 cables connecting to the mount, one for the power, the other one for the Starbook-goto controller. All at all, the mount is highly portable in fact probably the most portable mount in its class. The Starbook controller has build-in star charts and is easy and intuitive to use. The Starbook display is a bit bright especially if you have no surrounding light pollution, Vixen offers a red display cover for that which is not included because I didn’t needed it (there is quite a bit light pollution where I live so the display brightness was the least of my worries). The Goto works accurate, fast (1200x ! ) and quiet. The controller has an auto-guider port and an ethernet LAN port to connect the mount with a PC. The actual software of the Starbook doesn’t have a PEC function yet but the next software up-date (which is due for release this month according to Vixen) will have this function.

Sphinx SXW

I may be interested in this mount. Do you have the dovetail plate for it?
How much do you think it may cost to get it to Melbourne.

The mount is long sold, I just forgot to change it here. Sorry about that!
