FOR SALE: Nikon Lenses

Hi all,

I have a couple of lenses for sale:

1) Nikon AF ED 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5D IF. It comes with front and rear caps, Nikon HB-23 lens hood and instruction manual.

This lens is great for use as a normal to wide angle lens on a digital SLR, or as a wide to super wide angle lens with a 35mm film SLR. The lens is in excellent condition inside and out. There is no mould, fungus or scratches on any part of this lens. I've taken very good care of this lens, and have always kept a UV filter on it to protect the front element.

I bought this lens new in November 2005, and it has been my number 1 lens until recently purchasing the far more expensive 17-35mm f/2.8.

Accurate review here: http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/1835.htm

Price: $375 + postage

2) Nikon 180mm f/2.8 ED IF lens, this is the non "D" version. I bought this lens second hand just over 2 years ago. This is a seriously sharp lens suitable for many applications, including astrophotography. The lens is in very good condition optically with only a few minor spots of internal dust that don't affect image quality at all. The lens has a few small cosmetic scratches on the outside of the barrel and a small amount of surface corrosion on the mount that could probably be removed fairly easily (see pics). Neither of these minor blemishes effect the performance of the lens at all. There is no mould or fungus. This lens has many years of service left in it.

This lens is a joy to use with it's large aperture, fast internal auto focus and super sharp optics. It is also quite compact for its focal length and aperture, especially when comparing it to the 70-200 f/2.8 I've replaced it with. It also has a built in telescoping lens hood.

This lens will work on both Nikon digital SLR's and 35mm film Nikon SLR's.

Price: $420 + postage

Local pick up is fine. Otherwise $10 each to post them in Australia, or free postage if both are purchased together.

Ahh that 18-35 looks nice, but I just invested in a 80-200 F2.8 AF-S. Sorry

No. The official Nikon name for the lens is "AF 180mm f/2.8 ED-IF". There are several versions of this lens, but I don't think Nikon ever made an AF-I or AF-S version, so it won't auto focus on a D40 but will do everything else.
