Maksutovs & ED's ?

Hello, this is my first post. I have been without a scope for 10 years now and want to get one.
Has anyone tried/own a Saxon 8" Mak? any info? what about the Saxon 120ED refractor? these are a few I have been thinking about.
cheers & great forum !

Hi David, if you have some idea of what you would like to look at with the scope it might help people give more informative answers - just moon and planets, faint nebulae as well?

The little feedback I've seen on the 120ed suggests it is a good scope like it's smaller siblings, but it is way over-priced in Australia. The 100ed is much better value.

Or for a better quality alternative theres the Japanese made Vixen ED115.

Thanks guy's.
Where does one find a dealer in Aust for the Vixen ED115?
I have owned quite a few Newtonians and ground my own mirrors in the past but never owned a refractor. I suppose a reasonable aperture for planetary work.
