Question Seeking Waxing Crescent Moon Image – May 17, 2002

Hi everyone,

I’m searching for an authentic photograph of the Moon from May 17, 2002, during its Waxing Crescent phase. This image would carry great meaning for someone close to me, and I’d love to surprise them with a genuine capture from that night.

I've already reached out to various observatories and institutions, and I’ve also posted on other forums in case someone happened to shoot it back then:

🔗 Cloudy Nights thread: https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/9...rescent-phase/

🔗 Reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Astronomy/c...nt_moon_photo/

Even if you don’t have an image yourself, I’d be grateful if you could share this with anyone you know who might have archived moon photos from that time. A wide field, telescopic, scanned film, anything is welcome — as long as the Moon reflects that particular date’s phase and lighting.

Thanks so much for reading, and clear skies to all.
