Skywatcher ED150 Delux with Esprit Focuser

Sadly, I have to let my Skywatcher ED150 f8 go to a new home. My advanced age means that I can no longer manage this scope, and it has been lying on my guest room bed for the last year. It has been a great imaging and visual scope, riding on my CGX mount in my observatory for several years. I have attached some photos, and would be happy to answer questions if you want to PM me here on IIS. The package includes a Skywatcher f6 Reducer/Flattener for imaging, and Focuser Extension tube for visual use.

I am a long time member here and am not just here to sell equipment. The optics of this scope are clean, as you can see from the photos. It is the Delux model of the ED150 and carries the Esprit focuser. These are fairly expensive scopes if purchased new today, I am asking just $2000 for mine, and it includes a signifcant padded aluminium protective case, attachments for visual use, and a Geoptik padded bag/case. If your interested in this fine scope please PM me here on IIS.

In regards to Shipping.

I had a question regarding shipping options. Here is my response:

When I purchased it from a Brisbane dealer, it was shipped to me here at Lake Macquarie, NSW, 2264. However, it was in a Skywatcher external shipping box, which is long gone. Certainly the aluminium case is strong enough and it's lockable, but I certainly cannot lift the combined weight to load it on anything. If you want to take responsibility for organising pickup, shipping, delivery, and Insurance, etc then I could probably (with the help of my neighbor) get it to the end of my driveway for pickup. I will try to find out the combined weight, and dimension (which you would need to get a shipping quote) if your serious enough to take on that responsibily. Obviously, I would prefer someone to pick it up here at my house.
For calculation purposes, or your own pickup planning, the scope is located at Windermere Park, NSW, 2264 (near Morisset off the M1).

Shipping Details

If you are interested in getting this scope shipped to you, the details are:

Combined Case and scope weight, according to SKywatcher: 26kg.

Case dimensions:

Length: 141cm
Width: 39cm
Height: 28cm

I encourage the use of Interparcel for shipping quotes. I have used their door to door service for several years and they are very reasonable. They are a booking service but manage all quotes, provide shipping labels aand waybsills via PDF online to you, or me in this case. And provide a choice of carriers. I just plugged the scope and case dimensions into the Interparcel quote engine and it provides several carrier options, one as low as $71 Fed EX to Melbourne, as an example.

I hope this helps your out.

Glen
