Talking Trivial Facts!

Be honest, we all like trivial nonsense.

Have you ever noticed that when you mention some piece of trivial garbage someone else has an even more trivial comment. Before you know it, everyone is a 'Trivial' expert.

I thought this subject might make a nice 5 minute distraction so I ask for your amazing, useless bits of whimsical Trivia.

I will start.

American Police cars carry 1 gallon of Coca-Cola in the boot to clean blood of roads and concrete.

Did you know that a 'Yawn' is contagious. Even thinking about Yawning can make you Yawn!

The name of the asteroid that was believed to have killed the dinosaurs was named Chixalub. (Pronounced Sheesh-uh-loob)

The oldest exposed surface on earth is New Zealand's south island.

February 1865 is the only month in recorded history not to have a full moon.

A 'jiffy' is an actual unit of time for 1/100th of a second.

Coca-Cola was originally green

What do bullet proof vests, fire escapes, windshield wipers and laser printers all have in common?

You guys have too much time on your hands, daytime probably.

However, HAL, the name of the computer in 2001 was named by removing one letter each from IBM, hows that for subliminal advertising?

The moon has 684,549,399,332,450 individual craters (go on, prove me wrong)

Gravity is the weakest force known to man yet it takes the most powerful engines man can devise to escape it.

That'll do for the moment.

The cheetah is the fastest mammal at speeds of over 100KMH.
To do this it actually dislocates and locates its backbone on every stride.

Man is the fastest animal over the first 12 feet (whatever that is in metric).

The Kangaroo and Emu are on the Coat of Arms not only because they are Australian. It is because they are the only 2 animals in the world that cannot go backwards.

There seems to be a flaw in the answer to your question.
Gary Starkweather is credited with inventing the laser printer while working for xerox in 1971.????
