Clavius a 2001 themed image

Following on from by previous thread Clavius was my second target of interest. First at a full resolution of 3744x2088 and then a ROI of 1106 x944 for a close up.

Meade 12" LX200 GPS, ZWO ASI678MM, Fire Capture. Processed with AutoStakkert and RegiStax 6.

Cheers

They are amazing images as always Anthony!
What software allows you to stack the larger image files (higher resolution)?
I'm trying to stack some moon shots taken with my little 80mm Megrez and Nikon D810 but neither Autostakkert nor Registax will work with my larger full frame sensor files. Autostakkert keeps running out of memory and freezing up, Registax gives me an error as soon as I drag the files in.
I guess it's a case of shrink the file size....
No, my 80mm and Powermate 5 times (not set up accurately for 5 times, it's variable depending on distance from sensor) do not look anything like what you get with your 12" scope (shock, horror, lol), maybe with the 8" Newt or RA (It's an RC, IDIOT (ME)) I'll get closer one day.

I've been more playing with correct focal point than imaging.

I have a PC with a bit of grunt (Gaming PC), for the larger image it does take a while to process the image.

What Leo said...
Really great images as always, and nicely detailed.
