Gstar

Duncan I used a Skywatcher 6 inch refractor The planets were all avi frames stacked with registax the camera is monochrome to get any colour I have to use filters and and an attachment. With the camera and Ulead software you can capture a seriesof frames e.g 200-400-700 or what ever you want .or you can capture single frames.I don't own the colour adapter yet so all my images will be black and white.the refractor has a focal lenght of 1200mm. reguard's Tony

Hi Tony,
I missed this thread.
I've not tried any planetary work with the Gstar yet. It's way too hard without tracking. So I reckon you've done well to get these.
A couple of days ago, I recieved 2 CS mount lenses to use with the Gstar. A 16-100mm and a 12.5mm. Tonight I'm setting up the Barn Door to see what I can see.
I capture to a DVD recorder using rewritable discs, then put the disc in the puter and then use DVDX to change the movies to .avi's. It's a bit of a process.
What other images have you captured?
