Gippsland Floods

Victoria is in the worst flooding in 37 years. Parts of Gippsland are under water. Many residents have been air lifted to safety Parts of Gippsland had the equivalent of half of Melbourne's annual rainfall in 48 hours.

Our thoughts are with everyone in the area

Wow, that is some serious water. I know how they're feeling - we only went through it 3 weeks ago.

The change in weather over the past month has been incredible.

I believe the Thomson's getting plenty. Really need more to filler'up. My farm and observatory in Gippsland are safe. Considering the locations elevation if that flooded then all of Melbourne would be under water. Though, I have lost remote comms to the observatory computer. The satellite link is up and functional, but still no comms to the computer. Will drive down there over the weekend to assess what has gone wrong. Kind of a bummer coz I was going to re-do my darks library.

I hope the water subsides... I think they indicated it was still rising.

not good for property damage and threat to life, but good for dams and such and flush out the creeks and rivers
