[Withdrawn] Coronado PST

Two year old PST just been returned from Meade/Coronado to have the front lens replaced under warranty. It is in like new unmarked condition and comes with carrying case, 12mm eyepiece, instructions and original packing boxes. $700 plus postage. PM's please. Decided to keep the PST as I can use my Solarmax40 narrowband filter/tuner to double stack the PST. Thanks to a number of members who made offers on the scope.

That's a good deal. It should sell quick, Unipol.

Is it a 12mm EP or a typo? My PST came standard with a 20mm Kellner.

Hi Al,

No, not a typo error, it is a K12mm EP originally supplied with the PST and it is fairly average in performance. Around 10mm - 12mm seems to be about the limit for clarity but I've found 15mm - 18mm to be the better. I have tried lots of EP's in the PST and they all work quite well, particularly Orthoscopics. I have a Solarmax40 with the BF15 blocking filter which is why I am selling the PST. In fact, visually, the PST is a little sharper than the Solarmax40 although I believe the Solarmax is better for imaging owing to the larger blocking filter. At around three times the price of a PST it should be.

PM sent.

The PST is a very short supply item.

I have been waiting for 2 suppliers to get their stock in from Meade - Meade still having trouble keeping up with orders.

Steve

I hope you will do comparison images of PST, single & stacked. Perhaps even a 3rd shot with the SM40 on your telescope.

Please.

My order for PST will arrive next week, but alas no case.
