NGC3199 - The Banana Nebula

This nebula lies about 12,000 light-years away, a glowing cosmic cloud in southern constellation of Carina. The nebula is about 75 light-years across though the deep image reveals a more or less complete bubble shape.

This image is the result of a reprocess of data acquire last year in my image containing this Nebula as well as the Whirling Dervish Nebula (NGC3247).

Thank you posting this image of a most interesting object. I like the colour palette and structures that have come through in the final image. A target that is definitely going on my hit list
