HA Sun 13th December

In recent times, I have not been happy with the imaging results from my HA imaging for solar as I was getting poor contrast and details. The other day I checked the green filter in my blocking diagonal and found it to be frosted white with oxidation.

After a cleanup I got some good conditions for testing and the result was good enough to post here. Taken with a Lunt 80 in DS mode, 2.5X Powermate and Basler Ace 174 chipped sensor. A stack of the best 400 frames from 5000 taken.

Solar maximum brings so many active regions and filaments. It is eye candy for solar imagers.

Thanks Peter, I was happy to get back to how I expect my gear to perform. I cannot believe how quickly the green filter had frosted over and here is me blaming the sky transparency
