Luna, Saturn, Venus AND Mercury!!

Just got home in time to see this wonderful display as the clouds kindly disapeared for me. Then Margaret made tea while I was able to take the shots.

As well as the expected planets, little Mercury put in an appearance just to complete the picture, faint but there, down low and just right of the tripod winder.

Now details: Olympus 410 compact digital tripod mounted. The moon and Saturn (very faint to left) were taken through 10X50 binos at 3X tele on the camera hand held.

Terrific shots Wade!

Number 1 is magnificent!!!!

Is it possible for you to go into PhotoShop and delete your tripod from the image, just leaving a beautiful image of just the 4 planets?

If not, I'm happy to try it for you.

Fantastic, thanks Wade! That's just what I wanted to see - but I didn't expect to see Mercury captured as well!

Thanks for all the kind words from everyone.

Unfortunatly Ken, I dont have any fancy editing software like photoshop, one day perhaps. Just the basic Camedia that came with the camera. I'm doing well just to do some crops and brightness adjustment!

Here is another shot a little like your request. Feel free anyone to fiddle with any of my pics if you think it can improve them.

Congrats on the good shots Wade It wasn't that clear where I was in Perth! Quite heavy cloud. I do have some reasonable shots, interesting with the passing cloud etc, but will only perhaps process them tonight. See how I go with time

Here's your shot of Moon and Saturn processed to greyscale with PS5.5, selective levels adjustment, bit of sharpening of moon and downsized a little. Hope you like the result Wade.

Yep Vingo. I did it in PS.

Wade spent the time getting a great image, I'm glad to help clean up the surroundings.

That amazing Ken. I didnt know that Photoshop can do that kind of editing.

And I love what you achieved with the moon and Saturn Steve. Saturn is much clearer and sharper! Also the moons features have come out better.

Maybe I dont need to buy photoshop, I'll just keep posting for you guys to play with here!!
