NGC4945 reprocessed

This crummy weather does have its advantages.

I have been busy making Part 2 of my 'You Tube' video, and I have been reprocessing images to try get them a little bit better for it. Can't image, so I might as well fiddle with images.

Here is the Re-process of my NGC4945 Great Edgewise Spiral in Centaurus

Nicely done Ken. The nucleus and dark lanes resolve well.

Thanks Jase.

Yeah, I didn't think it would come out much better than before, but I cleaned up more background noise and fiddled with the levels and out popped the detail! The stars came out wierd, but better than the blobs they were.

I also tried it with the Spiral Galaxy in Volans with no success. There just isn't enough data in the original image.

But I'm very happy with the final NGC4945. I don't think the colour looks right, but I don't want to change it too much from the original. That's what the camera saw.

Colour looks about right to me Ken, and I read somewhere the reason for it being like that too.
I have a CCD version I took a few months back if it helps with your colour.
