Happy Birthday Don!

Happy Birthday Don, look forward to hopefully meeting up when you're out here in a few months.

In the meantime, have a great day today and clear skies tonight!

Thank you. Actually it's still the 13th here so I have to wait until morning for my birthday.

Sure would like to get together for an evening meal or??? We'll be in Sydney from 13 October to the 19th.

Hope you have a great day Don and get some clear skies as well.

By the way I love the name of the town/city you live in, Oshkosh, it has a great ring to it.

Cheers

It's the name of a Chief of the Menominee tribe here in Wisconsin. He was instrumental in this area in the mid 1800s. One of my ancestors was the territorial governor of Wisconsin at the time and had a lot of contact with him. As city names go, it's pretty plain compared to the names of so many Aussie towns such as Coonabarabran or Woolongong.

Hi Don, I suppose it is that we are used to our town names over here. My area Wamboin which is rural/residential (minimum block size is 5 acres) is a local Aboriginal word for Grey Kangaroo and believe me there are plenty of them as well.

Cheers

Thanks, mate. Only wish I had a couple of schooners of Tooheys Old Black Ale to celebrate with. Aussie beer is so much better than ours.

Yes, it is!

Some of the Sam Adams stuff is not too bad (says a thirsty and proud stock holder)!

Generally you are right the beer is better here...but you do have Johnsville Bratwurst and of course...the "cheese"...

Believe me, two schooners of Toohey's would be a good start. I love a good dark beer with a head you have to chew through.

That Russell Coight stuff is great. Thanks
