I fell asleep in my camp chair.

At about 1.00 am, with the Redcat and the 533 doing a live stack. Was not saving the subs sadly, woke up with the resident rooster at about 3.15 and found this on my tablet...

Wow Shawn, very cool 😎

I've been capturing images of the Deep Sky since 1982, been through most of the cutting edge approaches to acquiring photos and images in that time..but I think your post sums up nicely just how far we have come in astrophotography and where we at....you can now literally do it in your sleep, in a banana chair dreaming of the good old days... and then wake up to a completed, processed image, ready to print and hang on ya wall, amazing....gota love progress

I tried to keep the rig as small as I could for camping Mike, the little skywatcher goto I might swap out though for an AM3, Its a bit unstable when its windy. Otherwise I,m happy with it. Cheers mate...Shawn

Yeah wind, especially around Spring can be a real annoyance

Mate nice shots. Gotta love it when things just…work… I use the ASIAIR and even if I’m collecting larger data sets for post processing I still enjoy watching the live-stack as it develops. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks David, sadly as I said , I was not saving the subs...Next time I will....I also had to do an all sky plate solve because I could not see the SCP, and it worked. The Asiair is an amazing little device really...
