Baader 2" Herschel Wedge

The Herschel Wedge is an older style 2" Baader unit with a Zeiss prism and is in great condition. It is the visual version with the ND3.0 and Solar Continuum filters and is the model prior to the original cool ceramic version.

I am looking for around $600, plus shipping. The Mk2 version of the Cool Ceramic visual version is currently $929 at Testar.

Hello, Is this still available ?
Im wondering what your setup for using this Wedge was as i have a 120mm frac and unsure if i need another additional filters to make this work.

Cheers

Solar Wedge

Hi Mason,

Using it with a 120mm refractor will be fine without any additional filtering over what is supplied. For more than approx 100mm you'll need to use a 2" wedge. I've used it numerous times on both 120mm and 150mm refractors. The wedge comes with Baader Solar Continuum and ND 3 filters (both required to be used).

Cheers,
Chris
