Hi all,
Here's a shot of Saturn in fair seeing late last month, with the rings close to their minimum tilt for 2024 - and a scattering of moons nearby. Also Mars just about as high as it'll get in 2024-25, though it will get bigger, and a very early Jupiter just before sunrise. Gonna be a bad year for the big one though, old Jupe is very low for the next couple of years.
Clear skies all!
Andy
Nice to see your work again Andy, always great images of the planets, even edge on Saturn is so photogenic. Very much looking forward to this "planet season" though as you point out, Mars and Jupiter will both be low on the Ecliptic for a few years, so not ideal.
Am hoping to maybe catch a Titan and / or Shadow transit of Saturn now the orbital planes are aligned over the next 6 months or more !.
