Dryandra - Weekend of the 9-10th June

G'day all,

I visited my partner down at Dryandra south of Perth this weekend. I managed to take some nice but not stunning shots. I'm slowly working back in to the landscape photography thing after a bit of a break in recent times. It was good to be able to just take a few hours wandering around small areas of the bush and seeing what photo's there were there, taking time to see the smaller details, fine the nicer shots, etc.

Here's 3, not stunners, but a good start. Hopefully the next 3 months (how long she's working down there) will leave me with some photo's that best show what the atmosphere of the place is.

The last in those 3 (the single big tree closeup) is my favorite. It shows the really nice bark that the wandoo tree's have and the amazing detail in that bark. The leaf littler around wandoo trees is also usually full of great detail and small objects to photograph.

Roger.

That's the nice thing about this time of year downt here... cold (too cold for reptiles) and no tics. ASWA holds their astro camp's in the area in March & October, and at those time such things as snakes are a real risk.

I got stung by a bull ant yesterday, a moment after taking that 3rd shot actually. But that's not so bad.

Always have a first aid kit in my backpack and in the car though, so as prepared as we can be.

Nice shots Roger. It's always hard to get the colour right in (what looks like) the middle of the day.

Like you, I want to get back into some landscape/terrestrial photography.. hopefully soon.

I look forward to more!
