Is there a filter you can buy for amatuer images of the Sun to look like this from SOHO ?

You can come close to that but you can also spend >$10K just on one filter

Maybe not quite like that but you can come close with a solarmax telescope from Coronado (we'd all like a 90mm ) or you can try a double stack PST for about 1/8 the price. You will get beginner results like this

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm .... just checked out the PST's etc and don't think I'm that worried any more

You'd have to be very keen on the Sun to go the SolarMax 90T< 0.5A BF30 .... also pretty wealthy

Guess I'll just look at SOHO images and let them spend the big bucks !
