Celestron thumbscrews & dust cap - Perth

Hello all

Seeking eyepiece lockdown thumbscrews and a rear (camera) port dust cap for a Celestron 4SE.

I'm presuming the thumbscrews are standard celestron fare found on diagonals, visual backs etc. The dust cap is a bit more specialised, the port is approximately 36mm wide. Screw-on or push fit will suffice.

Thanks, Dean

Temporary thumbscrews found and I can confirm they fit ok, though probably a bit too long. Still looking for some originals thumbscews (or close to original spec).

Still seeking rear dust cap too. Thanks

Amazing! Yours are the size currently recommended by Celestron as a replacement.

I was in a similar situation a few months ago, and got replacements through our local telescope shop. I presume they came from Celestron. But they didn't fit. Mine is an older Evolution 6, and clearly the specification was different back then.

After some runaround, I eventually found (with help from Bintel) a couple of the correct size. But it took some digging.

If you contact Celestron Australia, they should be able to advise you on how to find them. The ones I got were black plastic with a nice sized head, which would make them quite easy to adjust. But I returned mine because I couldn't use them.

Regards, Andrew
