It pays to google first

There I was at the drawing board designing a "universal afocal camera adaptor" when I thought to google that phrase. Here's what I found. http://www.agenaastro.com/Afocal-Pro...ar-ag-afoc.htm

Almost exactly as I envisioned it.

Looks like an ideal and cheap way to enter the world of astrophotography for those that already own some sort of non SLR digital camera.

Funny, my dad tried some eyepiece projection photography a couple of days ago, and I said that I would send him a link to some products that would assist him. I just sent him that link, you saved me some searching!

This unit I belive is produced by Astro engineering in the Uk, scroll down the page at this link.

You can get it locally via Telescopes-Astronomy shop in Adelaide. There are two variants, standard ad deluxe. The deluxe one has two rings and is a bit more stable for heavier camera's or camcorders.
