So good to be home, but.

Just got back from being in New Zealand the last few weeks and what a trip it was. A beautiful country it is with so many mountains and streams wherever you look. If you haven't been there you should try to go if you can. We didn't go to the north Island as the south Island took up all our time. Like always, after a trip it is good to be home but what a lot of posts one has to catch up with in here.

Never been to NZ myself but my wife has and like you she loved it. I hope to get over there in the no too distant future.

Welcome back

I'd be interested to hear more of your impressions of NZ and look forward to seeing pics you might be kind enough to upload.

I too am planning on making the journey across 'the ditch' at some point in the next 12 months.

Have wanted to visit for years.

I'll be looking to make it a worthwhile trip - something in the 3-4 week range.

Hope to hire a camper van and self-drive when venturing out of the cities.

Would be great to catch up with a few of the IIS NZ Connection while I'm there. Look out Gary Beal!!!!!!

You will love it matt, i will sort some pics out soon and put a few up here and get the map out and tell you how we did it. We had a Tarago van and just drove and boy it was great.

Good to hear you and Sandy had a good trip Pete.

Anna and I were only saying yesterday we hadn't heard hide nor hair from you for awhile.

I visited N.Z. some 45 years ago. Based on that experience (even though I only poddled around in Northland) I have no hesitation in recommending the country to any of you with itchy feet. My only regret from that time is that I couldn't get to the south island. I was on an exchange 'Lions' trip and had no control over my itinerary. I suppose that so many years will have produced changes galore but I wouldn't mind re-visiting the place.

I'm jealous, toetoe.
