I have gone Mad - testing my new Sigma 20-40 f2.8EX

well I have gone mad!! Simply couldn't wait to test this new lens this afternoon. It fits my Pentax K10D, and i tested the lens on a variety of different settings and subjects. More to do But I am enjoying it. every shot was handheld!

You're obviously very happy with it Dave.
How would you rate the lens out of 10.

not sure - I know its the venus something? if its a girdle then its a girdle!!

Belt of Venus
The Belt of Venus or Venus's Girdle is the Victorian era name for an atmospheric phenomenon seen at sunrise and sunset. Shortly after sunset or shortly before sunrise the observer is, or very nearly, surrounded by a pinkish glow or antitwilight arch that extends roughly 10°–20° above the horizon. Often the glow is separated from the horizon by a dark layer, the shadow of Earth. The arch's light rose (pink) color is due to backscattering of reddened light from the rising or setting Sun. A very similar effect can be seen during a total eclipse of the Sun.
