NGC 2020 and 2014

NGC2020 and NGC 2014 found in the Large Magellanic cloud the circular object blue nebula (NGC 2020)has been shaped by a solitary mammoth star. This young, massive star, called a Wolf-Rayet, has ejected its outer layers of gas, exposing its searing-hot core,making it roughly 200,000 times brighter than our Sun. It's not even in our galaxy!
4.5 hours of 10 minute subs ASI533mc Optolong L-Ultimate ASIAIR TS-optics 130 APO reduced to 680mm with riccardi 0.75 reducer Processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop Data stacked and HA channel separated in Astropixel Processor

Cheers Allan that hubble image really pulls out the finer details

Yes but you FOV is much wider and puts it into context.

Great work Nik. I love the detail in the shells around that Wolf-Rayet star. Deep and colourful. Lovely pic!

Yeah that donut really is a great feature of this area. It is massive and superhot from what I understand
