Hi
SKYSHED POD XL5 astronomy dome
previous deal fell through, so back on sale.
Bought this a while ago to set up a remote obs, but never used it. This is a 2.2m dome that fits a significant amount of equipment and that can be readily opened and rotated for immediate access to the sky - no setting up. It is described here
https://skyshedpod.com/?v=e4b09f3f8402 - this one is the 5-bay XL5. As can be seen from the website images, these domes are very robust and secure. Haven't done it, but assembly appears to be straightforward

It is all in good order apart from a broken and unusable main L seal, a replacement for which is available from the manufacturer
https://skyshedpod.com/product/l-rub...v=e4b09f3f8402 - and other foam plastic seal strips have deteriorated and may need to be updated with readily available local replacements.
The main dome has been painted on the inside with black spray paint and on the outside with flexible white acrylic paint to keep solar heating to a minimum.
The dome fittings are all present, the door lock is new and the dome rollers are all functional (they are old-type plastic wheels). Quick release brackets are also provided so that the dome can be slid completely out of the way if need be, on a support table

This is a bulky item - from memory I used a caged 8x6 trailer to get it here. It is currently disassembled and in Ardrossan South Australia for collection only. I will supply foam sheets to protect the paintwork in transit, but the dome segments are a difficult shape to secure and you will need ropes and straps to tie everything down.
Images show the dome sections on the lawn for cleaning and arranged to show the dome shape, the base sections stacked in the shed and the fittings.
Thanks for looking. Asking $1500, which is a small fraction of new price. Please pm if interested.
Cheers Ray
