I have an HEQ5 Pro. I will be wheeling the tripod on dolly wheels a fair distance up my driveway. Once in place, I will take it off the wheels. I'd really like a leg spreader as a base similar to what 'Cuiv the lazy geek' (YouTube) uses but I can't find what he's using (and I haven't heard back from him yet).
Can anyone make a recommendation or point me in the right direction?
This is my solution to your dilemma. The tripod is mounted HARD to the trolley. The trolley itself is the 'brace' with the added benefit of the tripod not slipping off, even 'extreme' off road. Secondly M20 rod, coupling nuts and levelling feet from Bunnies let you level and not remove the wheels. The extra hole was meant to accommodate the pip on the end of the tripod leg, but you know, measure twice, swear three times - at least.
