Oh man, you go to share a quick (42mins) pic of one of your fav objects, and Peter Ward has just put up a new masterpiece version!

What the heck. Sharing this as pretty chuffed at the detail shorter 2min subs and well behaved skies allowed in processing. Thanks for looking

21 x 2min - FSQ106ED/QHY247C/HEQ5Pro - dark skies (Leyburn Qld)

Nice looking Triffid Rob, good thing about a wide field is you have plenty of cropping/framing options

Thanks Peter, thanks Mike

Yep, wasn't sure how to show on FB so got a bit carried away with the cropping options on display here in hindsight

Really do have to get back up to speed on best size/format to show on Ice - think I should have unticked the ICC profile option in PixInsight perhaps - seem to have really lost contrast and colour somewhere along the line. Live and learn......

Thanks David - tried not to go nuts on the colour. Agree on the star clouds - quite a magical area all around including the nearby cluster.
