Quick snaps of Jupiter - 28th May (AWST)

Hey Guy's,

It's not often I venture in to this Solar System forum, but what do you know, I actually put the webcam on my LX to do some planetary imaging! Only because the moon was washing out my galaxy of choice

These are a couple of quick snaps really, I was only recording videos over about a 30min period including focus etc. I'm quite happy with the results considering all.

I think they're the first planet images I've shot since something like 2005 Mars Opposition ..

The first...

The second...

The second has a few more frames but the viewing was a bit worse I think. I feel like the second could be processed to bring out more detail and/or contrast but I couldn't get it better in my tries just now, perhaps some pro can play with it a bit.

Then the clouds came in ... but I should be asleep anyway...

Roger.

They're very good roger! You should be pleased!

Next steps:
1. Get a ToUcam
2. Stick a barlow in there!

Well done!

Yeah, ToUCam would be nice but to be honest I probably won't be spending my money on that, but I might borrow one.

Barlow would have been nice.. perhaps in the next few nights... clouds came in last night..
