WO ZenithStar 80 II ED APO Refractor

Selling my Williams Optics 80mm APO refractor as I'm just not using it enough to justify keeping it. I purchased this second hand a couple of years back so cannot say exactly how old it is. There are typical marks on the OTA from use and one noticeable scratch on the body. All cosmetic of course. The only mechanical issue is that the fine focuser knob does not work, the course focuser works with no problems and I have found this to be perfect for visual work. I have not used this scope of imaging, just visual observing.

I'm sure that this OTA would make an excellent starter scope and comes with a the 2" diagonal, the carry case and a 30mm Andrews eyepiece.

Price is $490 (ONO) plus postage.

Edit: Drop price by $100 so now $390 plus postage.

Thanks,
Rodney

No, there is no fitting on the OTA to take a finder. In my case I installed a small bracket on the top of the tube rings to take the finder.

There should be a couple of small screws on the focuser (one either side of centre) that allow a finder base - see attached instructions for the scope.

I’ve just this afternoon accepted an offer on the OTA Morton.

Thanks,
Rodney
