Great stuff Bill! Some good detail.

The perspective looks a bit squashed? Or is it just me?

Thanks, Mike. Squashed it is, and I think I'm onto what causes that. A while back the Mintron camera fell out while in a cheap, shop-branded, extender tube provided by a certain, well known Sydney shop ('nough said) - when I bought my ED80 from them. The extender tube's got a poorly designed lip that is mismatched to the focuser tube screws in the ED80. Anyway, because I didn't know about this the extender (with camera held securely in it) fell out. Later I was told I had to use a piece of string with this extender, but that was too late to prevent the camera introducing itself to the concrete - and they didn't get along. At the time I didn't think any damage was done, because it was only about a 1 foot drop, and the camera housing is solid metal. I've noticed recently that the camera nosepiece now wobbles relative to the camera body, which will be putting the film plane at a slight angle. I reckon that would do it...
