Some Moonage from May 24th

Here's some results from last Thursday night. Conditions were clear and calm, but seeing was still pretty poor. Lots of dew so the dew heater was cranked up too.

Captured with the ToUcam with K3, through my C8. f/10 (secondary focus) shots included a moon filter. f/25 (negative projection with 2.5x Powermate) with no filters.

All are MAP processed in Registax 4, 50 best frames stacked.

1. Triesnecker and Hyginus area. f/10.
2. Triesnecker and Hyginus. f/25.
3. Agrippa and Godin. f/25.
4. Delambre and Taylor, f/25.
5. Theolphilus and Cyrillus. f/25.
6. Aristoteles and Eudoxus. f/25.

Al.

Top effort, Al

I particularly like No1. Looks a little sharper than the others. Must have been the native f10 which worked better in the very average seeing.

Good work, given the conditions.

Yes I think you're right Matt. f/25 was prabably a bit ambitious for the conditions.

Mosaics

Here's a couple of mosaics assembled from the same data as the above images.

All were stacked in registax (no wavelets), merged into mosaic, curves, unsharp masking and saved for the web in PS CS3.
