Sun images 26 May 2023

The forecast was not good but there was some sun before it clouded over today. There were a few clouds drifting through during the session. It was great to see the progression of the many sunspots.

Lots of detail in those shots Peter and Clare. Some interesting ARs to follow at the moment - pity the weather is not more favorable.

Cheers, John W.

What a stunning series, the WL shot is my favourite, with so much detail in the plethora of AR's, faculae and granulation, quite breathtaking.

Great stuff.

Cheers

Dennis

Thanks John. It would be nice if this La Nina effect finally broke up and we had some consistent good weather. It doesn't look like that is any time soon. If we'd been set up waiting for it there might have been a very short moment between the clouds this morning. Who knows, maybe next week.

Thanks a lot Dennis
We haven't had many breaks in the cloud for a while so it's nice to grab a few images when we can.
