Jewel Box and RCW 71

NGC 4755 and RCW 71

Just a test to see how doing a HDR combination would turn out.
NGC 4755 also know as the jewel box with RCW 71 a small faint emission nebula behind the Coalsack in the constellation of Crux.

ZWO 1600mm
10micron mount
William Optics FLT 91

Total time About 15hrs.

Great image! I didn't realise there was an emission nebula there. Did you take Ha subs or was that just from the red filter?

Hi Kevin

I used about 4hrs of HA to help bring out the nebula. With just the red filter you do loose some of the details. I only noticed the nebula when I was doing calibration testing on the jewel box.
