Well it was a good night but perhaps not the best for a decent imaging session...what made it a good night was the fact that you were there to help me finish off the odd ball jobs to turn that damn roof from a sagging nightmare into a thing of wonder function and industrial beauty...there really is nothing around like it you must agree...but most of all thank you for " keeping an eye on me" as clearly I was in a very confused state , lack of sleep, personal family dramas, the neck thing, mild steriods withdrawal symptoms, crook feet hitting just as I was starting to get around in comfort....but most of all when we got the damn thing finished and working and I am sitting there literally dazed and confused that you had the presence of mind to point out that I could at least take some subs of 83 not withstanding the cloud, mist and Moonlight and use the opportunity to make sure the RASA 11 was it working order....AND although the subs were not flash I discovered the filthy sensor which I can clean well before my anticipated New Moon serious effort on M83 ( and the Statue of Liberty Nebula)...
LATER I did take a couple of hours of the Statue and that tells me already the RASA picks up just too many stars such that last night's result showed only a star field and a mere hint of the Nebula...so guiding me out of my confused state to being productive will have a Big payoff next New Moon.
AND it was a pleasure explaining how everything works.
AND special thanks for discovering that the batteries had run out of water...unbelievable and entirely unexpected but you really saved the day right there...
Anyways we seem to have got a good system going and I look forward to getting the whole lot running efficiently and productively...again thanks for your help, support, guidance and kindness I greatly appreciate all you have done for me...without your help the observatory dream would have died and almost certainly me along with it...
Alex
