A new Astropixelprocessor question

Hello Folks,
  1. On the grounds that more data is better I have added singe night data sets to my base data set for NGC1566, When the first night is added AstroPxelProcessor has no trouble with the resultant stack of 195 and 225 second lights.the darks for both exposures are loaded., This makes a stack of 77 frames.
When a second set of lights are added there are 106 frames.
The same processing sequence is followed, there are no complaints from APP along the way. But when I go to calibrate star colours APP asserts that there are no stars in the frame despite many being visible. All frames in the data set have about 120 stars.
I do not know what is happening. Can someone tell me what I have done wrong or not done?
Chris

screen shots

Hello Nik, thanks for looking. Attached are some screen shots, the one named good;;; ar as successful process
the ones labelled bad;;; ar fome the run with extra data.
I missed taking a screen shot at stage three which popped up ,roughly --- despite the pedistal being set ...116 pixels clipped to zero…
Does this cause of this message leading to the failure of the bad series at the star colour stage?
Any way here are some screen shots.
Chris

Hi Chris - seems to me that the error is happening due to to trying to to a colour calibration on a mono image. If you are shooting with the QHY8l OSC camera then all your subs should be colour, so perhaps in the RAW/FITS tab did you by chance change this to a mono setting? If indeed you are shooting in mono, then you need to do the "RGB combine" before any further colour processing so that you have a colour output to work on.

checked one shot and debayer

Dave, I have just run APP twice , both times being careful to set the debayer pattern ,gbrg, and checked force debayer button. Both runs yield a mono image that can't run calibrate star colours.

Did you check the subs in a fits viewer to make sure they are indeed colour?
Make sure the extraction algorithm is AAD?

What they said it looks like one of your batches was not captured in colour for some reason
Try running that batch in DSS and see if it repeats

I spent a few more hours and discarded about 90 frames captured under very poor seeing, The data processing was then successful.
So, thank you for your help and time, I will put this saga down to learning about astrophotoraphy with my current set up.
