Northern Prom H-alpha 18-03-2023

It's another hot day in SE Qld but the seeing is great at the moment, here is a large prominence on the northern polar region of the Sun that I just captured with my Hydrogen Alpha telescope. The height of it is equivalent to 10 earths stacked up on top of each other.

Imaged with my 120mm Skywatcher f/8 achromat in an open frame,a tilted 2" 7nm H-alpha fliter as a sub energy rejection filter, Baader TZ4 telecentric focal extender, Player One energy rejection filter,Combo QuarkChromosphere, modified PST etalon(from a Coronado PST), 2" 0.5 focal reducer, ASI174mm camera and finally a Black Shark magnetic cell phone cooler.

Nice shot of this prom Martin. You used a lot of pieces of equipment to get this image? Regards, John W.
