This was part of a telescope I was given. Using it was an awful experience so I built a dob base.

It is widely panned in reviews. One of those products that is aimed at beginners and risks turning them away from astro due to frustration.

I'm only posting it up because it seems like a waste of resources to throw it in the scrap bin when someone might have some sort of a use for it.

Hi Tim, if you don't get any takers, can I send you $20 and get you to send the accessory tray to Sydney? I got one last year off gumtree, but the tray was lost. I use the scope on a AZ-GTI, but want to see if this tripod is any better than the tripod it came with, and I hate the twist lock legs on it.

If you know anyone with an AZ-GTI / GTE mount, the counterweight bar is the right size and it makes it a bit more stable.
