GSO R&P vs crayford 10:1

does the 10:1 GSO crayford have the same or more out focus as the R&P?

The standard height GSO Crayford has less by about 1/2 inch iirc. You might find that some Televue EPs no longer reach focus without a barrel extension.

Nope the 10:1 is the same innards and size as the regular crayford.

If you're considering getting one for your gso newt, don't,...... just do it !

Once you get it you'll be kicking yourself you didnt get it sooner

David - I bought one for my 8", which is what I'm guessing you're considering. I have to have a 35mm extension tube inserted to get achieve the same out-focus as I had with the original R&P.

Am I happy with the difference in smoothness, stability and adjustability? You bet. Makes the whole scope feel much nicer.

Are you coming to the public night at the University domes tomorrow evening?

Cheers
Chris

Yes David - about $35 from Bintel for a 2" unit that gives you 35mm extension.

Cheers

No you were asking about crayford vs r&p, so that's what I meant: 1/2 inch less than r&p.
