M42 - Orion Nebula

First image in the forum. M42 and few other reflection nebulaes including the Running Man.
WO Zenithstar 61 + ASI294MC Pro. About 2.5h of calibrated data. PP in Siril and then in Affinity Photo.

I especially like the way the core of M42 looks like its glowing

That’s a very nice M42, well done! The 294mc is bringing out some very nice detail. Stars look great too. My only suggestion would be to ever so slightly tone up the warmth (red curve).

Thanks Ahmed. My preference would be to have some detail there, but at 180 sec subs the core has been overexposed beyond recovery. Next time will do some shorter subs and add them.

Thanks Stephane. Still a steep learning curve for me with the pp tools. The colour could certainly be fine tuned.

Very nice first image! Mostly I'd agree with Stéphane about warming it up, but I actually like seeing it with a cooler colour temperature as well.
