To try and discipline our lunar imaging we have started working on the Lunar 100. So on the evening of the 2 December, after imaging Jupiter and waiting for Mars, we took a series of images along the terminator. We have yet to go through them finding the Lunar 100 subjects, but particularly liked this view of the Apennine Mountains with the Apollo 15 landing site.
Image taken with our 6" SCT, 2x barlow and ASI178MC.
Great shot and excellent processing.
It's one of my favourite areas to view - so rich in detail i feel I notice something new every time. Great job
Thanks David.
Its my (Clare) favourite area as well. So much to zoom in and see. Someone else pointed out that Ina (Blue Lake) is also in this image. No.99 on the Lunar 100 - yeh
