Single stack/ double stack comparison 2 December 2022

We have still been working on our Ha double stack close up rig and took some close up images today. This one of AR3152 makes a very interesting comparison. The single stack image clearly has photosphere features showing through, whereas the sun spots from the photosphere are not apparent in the double stacked image.

That's a good, interesting comparison Peter / Clare. Well done. It all depends on what you are wanting to capture.

It does depend on what you are trying to capture, but in this case we were just testing the two configurations of our new set up.
